CLUMSY DOWNSIDEUP CRANE-MILLER?
Lovely to meet you. I am Julie, DownSideUp and/or alter ego’s such as clumsy crane art and Polexia Miller. (I tend to hop from one hyperfixation to another, as you’ll discover here.)
The narrator that occupies my brain is multilingual.
This means the words swirl around in various languages and usually come out in either my native tongue Dutch, or my adoptive language English. (Sometimes it’s something in between, with some Flemish dialect phrases strewn in.) I hope auto translate may help overcome some barriers.
Confusing? Maybe a little. But limiting myself to either language (or persona) was just not cutting it any more. I restarted this website as part passion project, part burnout recovery. It is mine and mine alone. No rules. No restrictions. No deadlines. For the love of words. So I can make little Julie proud of who she’s become. A writer, a journalist, but most of all, a happy and passionate person.
I write, therefore I am.

I write about whatever strikes my fancy. From image to book, neurodiversity, feminism and all things close to my heart.
